Mission: Our mission is to provide MBA students with enhanced career opportunities in the high-technology industry by sponsoring experiential learning opportunities and networking/recruiting events, and by building UNC Kenan-Flagler’s reputation as a source of technology business leaders.
Goal# 1: Serve as a comprehensive resource for knowledge and training in the Tech space
Objective: Create a curriculum of applied skills spanning domain knowledge in the industry as well as business functions; Make the resources available to peers in written and interactive forms through learning sessions, held both independently and in conjunction with other career clubs.
Goal #2: Strengthen corporate relations with Tech companies
Objective: Facilitate networking through a series of corporate engagements – West Coast Career Trek, company visits in the RTP area, case competitions, guest panels and webinars. The Club aims to work closely with MBASA, CMC and Corporate Relations office of the Business School. We seek to develop relations with 20+ companies in the upcoming year.
Goal #3: Aid on-boarding and preparation for recruitment
Objective: Organize workshops to address the needs of those looking to recruit in Tech companies and/or Tech functions. The workshops would cover all aspects of recruitment including but not limited to resume review, networking, mock interviews, case preparation and behavioral interview preparation.
Goal #4: Expand the application of tech resources to the UNC Community
Objective: The club aims to collaborate with several resources within the UNC ecosystem to scout for opportunities to deliver value through the adoption of technology to resolve current and anticipated issues. This pursuit will involve liaising with career clubs and other bodies outside the business school.
